We're gonna take a look at how it fits on the 2018 Ford Escape. If you're looking for a roof rack system, because you wanna carry around accessories like kayaks or baskets or even roof-mounted bike racks, this is gonna be a very strong and sturdy system. Comparing it with some others though, you do have one more adjustment point compared to other racks, it might take a little bit longer, but not that much. In most cases, I'd recommend someone get a ladder rack as opposed to a roof rack, but your circumstance might differ. Maybe you're trying to be a little bit more economic or maybe you just don't wanna deal with getting around the ladder rack in the back of your bed, maybe it's just kind of in the way. Or maybe you want to use it in conjunction with your ladder rack and roof rack. So maybe you have those larger items that stick out pretty far, and you need multiple points to secure your items up top with. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima BedRock on the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500. The BedRock's gonna be a good choice for you if you don't want to get a roof rack since that's gonna be up front on the top of your vehicle and it's not gonna be able to carry as much stuff since it has a lower weight capacity. And it's gonna be a great choice if you don't want to invest in a ladder rack since this is gonna be at a lower price point than a ladder rack. And it's gonna sit a little bit closer to your vehicle so it's not gonna take up as much room but you're still gonna be able to utilize the maximum amount of space for your bed. Hi Matt with etrailer and today we're gonna be talk about the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Now this is gonna be a great option if you're kind of running outta space in the back of your vehicle and you need to put some additional accessories up top to kind of store some extra luggage. It's also gonna be great if you're going out camping and you need to put your additional camping gear up top as well. Our roof rack system's gonna have three components. The first one's gonna be our 49 inch arrow crossbars, that's gonna plug into our Rhino-Rack Towers and that's gonna sit on to our base. This is gonna have the capacity to hold up to 165 pounds but I'd always recommend checking what your vehicle can withstand for its roof as well. more

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2023 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Cross Bars on a 2023 Toyota 4Runner. Great addition to a 4Runner because they already have the factory side rails, and these just kind of clamp around them, making it super easy to get them on and off. And this is mostly designed for clamp-around accessories that go around the bar. But also, the rubber here, you can peel that off and use T-track accessories as well. And once you have those in place, you can cut this rubber, and it's gonna keep this nice and protected and also keep wind and water from getting into the bars. Now, these bars are rated at 165 pounds, which is pretty solid. more

They're also available in silver and these are 58 inch bars. You can also get them in a 50 inch measurement as well. Factory side rails generally look pretty cool especially on a 4Runner, but really until you use them you don't really get the added benefit of that real estate on top of the roof. Taking a closer look at our system, it's gonna be comprised of our 50-inch JetStream crossbars, our skyline towers, and our landing pad bases. Those are all gonna work together to kinda give you some extra space up top if you wanna carry any roof boxes or kayaks too. Our crossbars are gonna be made of aluminum with a black powder coat finish. It just means it's gonna be lightweight and corrosion resistant. Even though it's made of aluminum, it can still withhold 165 pounds. more

Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars Installation - 2022 GMC Terrain- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at "etrailer." Today we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack System on our 2022 GMC Terrain. Now, why would you need a roof rack system Well, if you wanna carry around some of those bigger or awkward items like skis, maybe snowboards, or you need some additional storage for those longer trips like a roof box. The first thing you're going to need is a roof rack system like the one we have installed here today. Now we do have raised rails here on our terrain and usually the big benefit to that is that our clamps can sit anywhere with on those rails, allowing us full customizability for our crossbar spread able to accommodate different items that might have different spreads. What we did learn when installing this system here today though, is that where our rails do make contact here with our roof, that this space is unusable even right here, because of how the clamp needs to hold this added on even a little space here prevented it from clamping down fully. So we are losing about a front third of our rail and if we head to the back, we have that same issue back here with the front back third of our rail. more

So why would you get a roof rack system Well, if you wanna carry around fun accessories and maybe expand your cargo space with a roof box or roof basket, or you wanna carry around kayaks or long ladders, first you need a base for those accessories. This is gonna be the roof rack system from INNO. This is gonna be the shorter length with the 54 and 57 inch bars, and it has some pros and cons to that. Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Inno roof rack system with the flush-mounted crossbars on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now, when I say flush-mounted, what I mean by that is that the crossbar, that piece up top that we're gonna attach our accessories to, ends inside the foot pack here, meaning that nothing overhangs off the side of the vehicle. A lot of people prefer this style because it is a little bit more clean and custom looking. And if you only plan on mounting up one accessory on your roof, maybe something like a box for a road trip or a basket, then this is gonna be plenty of room. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System on our 2023 Toyota RAV4. Now, if you wanna carry around some extra long items, maybe you like a kayak or maybe some lumber that you get from the depot store, or want some extra storage space for a long car ride, the first thing you're going to need is a roof rack system. Now, the system we have on here today is going to be made up of three different parts. The first one is going to be our 49 inch crossbars, then our platforms that they're going to attach to, and then finally, that whole system will set into our fit kit that is specially tailored for our RAV4. The roof rack we have on today is what we call a fixed point system, because there are plates along the roof of your RAV4 that you pop out, and then the fit kit will fit into those, and this is the definitive placement for your roof rack, meaning that there's not really any modularity in moving them forward or backwards. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have a Yakima roof rack system with the 50 inch long bars and the TimberLine towers. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Volkswagen Taos. So your Volkswagen Taos has a raised rail meaning there's a rail that goes up but you can also fit things underneath it. Now because of how small it is, this actually doesn't fit perfectly for all roof rack brands. So some roof racks need a special clamp that's smaller in order to securely fit around this rail system. But since the Yakima TimberLine towers have a strap that go around, then you don't have that issue. more

These are going to be the towers designed for the raised rails of your vehicle where they wrap around and create that support base so that you can build an entire roof rack system for your car. In this video, I talk about different features of the towers, how you might use them, and how you can see if this is gonna be the best or even not the best fit for you. I like raised rail towers because they're almost a universal fit. As long as you have raised rails, you can use this tower. How do you know if you have raised rails Well, first check if you have a rail that goes above your vehicle and if you can fit like your hand or strap underneath it. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Rhino Rack Vortex roof rack system on our 2023 Nissan Titan. Now a roof rack is a great way to carry some extra stuff with you if you don't have space inside your vehicle or maybe for some elongated loads that you don't wanna put in the bed. A lot of people like using these for things like kayaks or boxes for some extra covered lock storage or we can put a basket or a platform up here to maybe mount some bikes. Really, the possibilities are endless and I think for a truck, roof racks make a lot of sense because if you have a ladder rack you can match the ladder rack height if it's adjustable to the roof rack and create this large platform which is great for mounting up pieces of two by four or lumber because it's supported all throughout over the cab and over the bed while leaving your bed open for maybe some other stuff. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, And today I have the Rhino-Rack roof rack system with extra long crossbars, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like maybe a roof box for more cargo space, or some kayaks, or even a roof mounted bike rack what you first need is a roof rack system. There are a bunch of different kits or roof racks for the Jeep Wrangler two-door version. This is actually my special recommendation kit because it has longer crossbars than what is usually recommended for this car. So measuring from the tower to right before that end cap, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 give or take how you set this up. That measurement is going to be helpful for if you want to clamp accessories to the tower, if you wanna maximize your crossbar space. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the INNO Roof Rack System on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, if you want to carry around some accessories on your roof, like maybe a kayak carrier, a bike rack, or maybe some sort of cargo bin up on top of our roof, the first thing we're going to need is a roof rack system like we have on here today. Taking a quick look at it, we can tell that we do have some arrow crossbars here, which does mean that they just start off a little fatter in the front and kind of taper off towards the back. This is just to help cut down on that wind noise and drag that comes with putting something on top of your roof. Hey everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today I have the Malone AirFlow 2 roof Rack for raised rails. We have this version here that is the black crossbars if you want that black finish. It's gonna be an entry level roof rack with a surprisingly good amount of features similar to your more premium racks. Now it also has its disadvantages too. So we'll talk about the pros, we'll talk about the cons right here at etrailer. So whenever any of my friends asks me, "Hey, what's a quick and easy way to carry around the roof box, or some kayaks, or maybe a roof basket, or even a roof-mounted bike rack" And if they have raised rails, this would actually be one of the first roof racks that I would recommend because it's entry level, it's an affordable roof rack, but it also is a universal fit. more

Now, this Yakima system is unique in that it does have a little bit more of an involved process. It does take longer to install, but the results are that it gives you more crossbar spread, meaning more space or more surface area for your cargo. If you're carrying around kayaks, ladders, even a Christmas tree, that extra long cargo would appreciate this wider crossbar spread.
